A time for gathering in celebration and renewal, honoring what has past and praising & feeding what feeds us with our capacity for beauty making, creativity, ritual and eloquence. Together we practice a form of village mindedness that is both nourishing and nourishment for something beyond ourselves.

This 4-day, 3-night camping retreat takes place at Arroyo Hondo Preserve, a beautiful rustic canyon in Chumash territory, 20 miles north of Santa Barbara.

It is an opportunity to be in a natural setting embedded within an intimate supportive community, to unfurl into experiences and practices for remembering the gift of this life, as well as the gifts we have to share. It is for anyone interested in the well being of people and planet, to slow down, rest, connect, and receive the inspiration and communion needed to continue to show up and honor the soul’s call to bring forth what is alive in us toward the repair of the world.

Within our morning and afternoon sessions as well as throughout the retreat we will engage ritual, singing, listening and sharing, time in circle, nature communion practices, writing, dream sharing, shared meals, living outside, silence and prayer to form the container for our time. Together we co-create the vessel to hold our love and our grief, and the full range of our human experience. We will have morning, afternoon and evening sessions with ample spaciousness in between. There will be structure and space for emergence.

“There are those who are trying to set fire to the world,
We are in danger.
There is time only to work slowly,
There is no time not to love.”
