A bi-monthly 90 minute zoom space for a simple gesture of coming together with others devoted to a life of healing, justice, peace and love. An opportunity to remember our place in this wild world with support, witness and accompaniment. An invitation for participatory engagement in an exploration of perspectives and practices that are co-liberatory, enrich the life of the soul, and have us in the necessary field of togetherness, care and accountability to encounter the monstrous troubles of our times.

Monthly themes are inspired from online course Gestures (Towards a Living Culture), are subject to change, dependent on who shows up, and only lightly curated context mostly emergent.

Intention

Each month we explore themes that help orient our attention towards living culture, and ripening into true adults who know who we are, what we serve, and to whom and what we belong. Together we practice to deepen our authenticity, courage, accountability and responsibility for this extraordinary living world.

Culture is always happening, if we are passive, it will happen to us; the work of creating culture happens together. Divesting from supremacy culture is collective, and therefore requires a collective response. To reckon with our complicity in the violence of colonialism and bring forth more beauty, love, trust and peace in all our relationships requires devotion to the holy, rigorous commitment to healing and a community of practice. A place to be with and metabolize our pain and bring forth our gifts.

Although not explicitly a space for white identified people or cis- gendered women, we acknowledge the limitations of our perspectives due to the identities through which we experience the world. We center the experience of those who are present, while bringing sensitivity and care to issues around multiculturalism, dominant white cultural norms and the full spectrum of gender.
